A Reflection on the Appropriacy of the Implementation of the DoDAF Information Architecture Framework as an Organizational Information Architecture for Universities: The Case for Shiraz University
Abstract
Background and Objectives: This study aims to investigate and the proposed framework of DODAF information architecture by the managers and experts for the purpose of organizational information architecture of this university and to draw the attention of managers to organizational architecture in order to improve organizational excellence and enumerate the benefits of organizational architecture.
Methodology: The present study was carried out using a combination of two survey methods with experts from Shiraz University. To this end, data were gathered using the relevant documentaries and library studies to examine the forms and documents related to the processes of Shiraz University. In order to collect the data, face-to-face interviews with managers and experts of Shiraz University as well as a review of forms and documents related to the processes of Shiraz University were performed. To do this, interviews with the director and experts of the education and research department of the university (at all levels) were conducted; also, documents related to the documentation of tasks and processes, including job descriptions were collected. Additionally, other documents, including operational plan, performance indicators, organizational excellence, etc. were reviewed and reported. To analyze the data, first, the strategic orientation was determined. For this purpose, intitially, strategic elements were identified and relevant approaches were examined. Then, the existing processes were identified as well. In this vein, all the following indicators were identified for data analysis in two parts: strategic elements and strategic elements of information technology.
Findings: The purpose of information organization architecture at Shiraz University is to achieve the desired architectural outputs in this organization. This process can be implemented alongside other core processes of the organization and run continuously. In general, this process consists of three main steps: 1. Strategic IT planning, 2. Organizational architecture planning, and 3. Implementation of organizational architecture.
Discussion: The results showed that DODAF information architecture is the most appropriate and best option for the inforKeywords: DoDAF Framework, information organization architecture, Existing architecture, Desirable

Background and Objectives: The present study was conducted to investigate the relationship between e-learning style and computer literacy by considering the mediating role of information literacy among graduate students of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz. In addition to examining the relationship between e-learning style and computer literacy mediated by information literacy, this study aims to build a model to provide a way to learn for life.Methodology: This research was applied based on the main purpose and quantitative based on the method. It was a survey-field data collection method and based on analytical technique it was a descriptive research (correlation) based on path analysis. The samples of this study consisted of 362 graduate students of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, who were selected by random sampling method. Data were collected using e-learning questionnaires (Khademizadeh, 1400) and computer literacy questionnaires (armor maker, 2015) and information literacy (armor maker, 2015). The validity and reliability of the tools used in this study were evaluated and reported appropriately. Emos software version 23 and SPSS version 23 were used to analyze the data. Pearson correlation coefficient and linear regression tests were used to estimate the relationship between the variables. Sobel test was used to estimate the effect of the mediating variable in SPSS software; also, in the present study, to fit the final research model, model fit indices in Emus software have been used.Findings: The values of fitness indicators related to the proposed research model indicate that most fitness indicators in the research model are desirable and to a large extent acceptable. Regarding the direct effect hypotheses, the findings showed that there is a significant relationship between e-learning style and information literacy. Also, there is a direct and significant relationship between information literacy and computer literacy and e-learning style with computer literacy of the studied students. Has it. Regarding the indirect effect hypothesis, the results of the bootstrap test showed that there is a significant relationship between e-learning styles and computer literacy through information literacy.Discussion: In this study, electronic information literacy content was used to teach information literacy for virtual students and the results showed that electronic information literacy content has a major effect on students' problem solving skills and problem solving skills of students trained through electronic content. Significantly more and higher than other students who did not receive this content. According to the results of the present study, based on the relationship between e-learning styles, information literacy and computer literacy, graduate students should be able to identify their information needs, be able to evaluate, select and process them well, and finally with prior knowledge. Integrate themselves and create new knowledge. To empower students, familiarity with information literacy and the use of media for learning and teaching is a necessity that must be considered. In addition, it was found that information literacy rate can affect the effectiveness of e-learning styles on media literacy. Therefore, it is suggested that information literacy training courses be planned and implemented based on students' learning style; because more effective results will be received. It is also suggested that for the benefit of students and due to the direct relationship between computer literacy and information literacy, training courses to acquire and develop these two literacy for students to be implemented.

Introduction: The purpose of establishing academic libraries is to achieve the goals of the university, which is to preserve, disseminate, and promote knowledge. These duties and responsibilities are also a significant issue when dealing with crises in society. Have a look at the researches shows that the study of how libraries deal with crises has been an interesting topic for researches. In these studies, confronting of all types of libraries has been examined and most of them have been done during and after the crisis to examine the actions, functions and nature of the services provided or changed by these institutions. Therefore, the present study aimed to identify the way academic libraries in the world deal with Covid-19 and analyze their services and activities in this situation.Methodology: The present study was an applied study that was conducted by survey method and descriptive-analytical method. To do this, the World University Libraries website was reviewed based on the Times Higher Education University Rankings. Based on the Cochran's formula, 300 samples were randomly selected from this community. The instrument of this research was a researcher-made checklist.Findings: The research findings showed that academic libraries in the world followed the six main strategies of "creation", "development", "change", "updating", and "reduction or cessation", respectively, and the most common strategies were "creation" and "development". For these main strategies, 34 sub-strategies and 123 actions were implemented by these libraries around the world. In other words, these libraries played an active role in responding to the crisis. Hence, the efforts of the world's academic libraries were significant. The most practical measures were related to the main strategies of "creation" (39 cases), "development" (18 cases), "commitment to social responsibility" (13 cases) and "change" (12 cases), respectively. Conclusion: Academic libraries, instead of accepting strategies to stop or reduce their services and activities in the face of this crisis, have turned to creation strategy and changing services and activities. The contribution of commitment to social responsibility in these libraries was also significant.

Goal: Academic libraries need to illustrate a realistic picture of the future to keep pace with modern developments, effectively confront them, and maintain their status durability in current competitive conditions. In this way, they can make accurate decisions and plans about selecting future directions. Achieving such a picture is usually possible by conducting systematic studies about the future. Thus, the present study aimed to systematically review the studies on the future of libraries in Iran and across the world, explain the research gap, and investigate, review, and summarize the proposed driving forces of the future of academic libraries. Method: The present study implemented a systematic review methodology. For this purpose, the relevant studies were extracted from national and international databases and were investigated. Finally, 29 studies were analyzed. Findings: Reviewing the studies resulted in a list of 112 candidate driving forces that could influence the future of academic libraries. The items were extracted in eight dimensions, including political, economic, social, technological, legal, and environmental (to investigate the external environments), in addition to the “structural-administrative” and the “nature and services of libraries” dimensions (to investigate internal environments). Moreover, it was discovered that conducting future studies on academic libraries and developing prioritized scenarios for the future of the libraries were the research gaps in the field. Results: The directors and librarians of academic libraries have to develop strategic and future-oriented plans to maintain the durability of their organization in the face of environmental changes and developments arising from modern informational and communication technologies and effectively respond to the expectations of a knowledge-based society. The first step in this path is identifying and detecting the driving forces that influence the future of academic libraries and endeavoring to develop relevant scenarios. Thus, future studies can act as convenient bases to effectively direct academic libraries toward a desirable or prioritized future
