Abstract

Aim: This research aimed at the study of the concept of knowledge, identification of the important components of knowledge sharing and transformation, and the study of implementation of knowledge management in the Academy of Arts of the IRI based on the views of the staff members of this organization.
Method: This research is a descriptive kind based on a survey which is administered among 190 staff members employed in different departments of this academy. The data collection tool was a survey questionnaire that was devised and administered for the purpose of this research.
Findings: Considering the present situation and conditions of the Academy of Arts of the IRI, KM can be implemented successfully provided that its organizational culture could change in line with KM implementation requirements. There are three kinds of knowledge current in the academy of which what is a little complicated to be managed is the 3rd kind which requires identification and examination of the concepts embedded in the art works.
