Abstract
Aim: The purpose of this study was to analyze the privacy statement of the world's Top academic libraries and provide privacy statement for users of Iranian Academic Libraries. Method: The present study was applied in a descriptive survey in terms of its purpose. The research community consisted of 25 top academic libraries based on CWUR 2017 - World University Rankings. Results: The results of the study showed that 22 of the 25 library libraries provided users with a privacy statement on their website. Also, the results of the study showed that the Corner University Library Statement was the most comprehensive statement, and among the mentioned factors, the discussion of library strategies in Introduction, Website usage records, and the content of the registration information is of great importance, and in almost all Libraries Statements reviewed by the presence have. In the following, the proposed strategies for Academic Libraries are presented in the presentation of the User's Privacy Statement.
