Abstract
The rapid growth of technological innovation, particularly in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, has led to profound changes in business-related research over the past few years. Understanding the emerging trends in this field is crucial for researchers and several industry leaders to stay aligned with the upcoming transformation landscape. This study aims to provide an evolving perspective on trends in AI and technological innovation research in the business and management domains by conducting a bibliometric analysis of publications from 1992 to 2024. The data for this research were extracted from the Web of Science database and analyzed using co-word analysis and co-authorship techniques, utilizing two software tools: VOSviewer and R. The findings, based on the analysis of 883 articles across business and management domains, indicate a shift from slow growth in the early years (1992–2016) to rapid growth in recent years (2019–2024). Additionally, the identification of the most influential authors, the examination of research collaboration areas, thematic clusters, and research trends have provided valuable insights for both academics and practitioners in the field. The results of this study can inform policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders in strategic planning to invest in technological innovation by implementing AI, as presented in the points.
