Abstract

Abstract

Purpose: The present study aims at explaining and comparing university library competency assessment styles and its impact an optimizing library function.
Method:This research is applied im terms of purpose and it is survey research with correlation type due to data collection method.In order to collect data , library competency qustionnarie instrument and service quality questionnaire were usedfor measuring questionnaire validity .subject specialist and for investigating reliability cronbachs alpha were applied under study statistical population include all Islamic azad university library librarians in Mazandaran province who were 43 samples the sampling method census type .Data analysis in this study was done by using structural equation modeling based on smart –PLS 2

Findings: finding revealed that competency pattern effect on understrudied library performance optimization was positive and significant .Statistical value for significance of regression coefficient for this variable is 17.96.and it is greater than critical amount 1.96.(the level of significance is equal to ./001 and less than 0/05).

Conclusion:Optimization of library functions can be explained under the impact of their competency assessment pattern as by increasing competency level in all dimentions , library performances and as a result services quality would improve.
