Purpose. The purpose of this research was to investigate the role of modeling in the field of information behavior. Method/approach. the type of This study is a library- documentary one. Findings. The findings of the study showed that modeling in the field of information behavior helps to understand when, why, and how information-seeking happens. It also helps as an instrument for information management, evaluation and/or improvement of organization and information retrieval, as well as to understand various behaviors of users. Conclusion. the results of the study indicate that Models are useful in describing and predicting the phenomena; they could be used in identifying complex problems such as human information behavior. Due to the representation power, anatomical characteristics, and the ability to connect scientific theories and the real world, models can work as powerful element in the process of information behavior research. Keywords. Modeling; information behavior; types of models; modeling applications

The aim of this study, normative an Organizational factors affecting the production rate of Shahid Chamran University faculty members are. To illustrate the theoretical framework from the perspective of sociology and the sociology of science and the assumptions used were extracted. This research is based on survey and questionnaire data collection, and data analysis was performed by spss software.A survey of all faculty members Shaid Chamran University, which was set at 224 Cochran's sample size formula. The results show that the independent variables (level of adherence to the scientific norms, culture, grop climate, scientific communications, university resources) of output variables are positive and significant relationship. But the reward system variable and academic scientific production association does not exist. The results show that the scientific communications, grop climate and phd course teaching hours variables are significant. In total, 31% of the production rate changes explain the science faculty The final part of this research, the importance of the subject has to offer suggestions and solutions.

This study, using a new method called Referenced Publication Years Spectroscopy (RPYS), examines the most important historic works written in the area of research methodology. Preliminary data of this study have been extracted from Web ob Science database through scientomerics methods. For this purpose, the references used in all the papers in the core journals in this field since 1980 to the end of 2014 were studied. Distribution of resources in the area of research methodology based on the publication year indicates that this field of study, during time interval 1900 to 1980, has seen 9 major mutations, respectively, in the years 1910, 1927, 1934, 1938, 1951, 1960, 1965, 1967, and 1979. The findings suggest a considerable influence of psychological studies (in particular, the application of statistics in psychology) on historical topics of research methodology; So that, 4 out of 5 sources related to the period 1900 to 1940, are written straight by the experts of psychology, with an emphasis on improving statistical methods and applying them in different researches. The results revealed that the share of articles out of total referred resources works presented, compared to books, was 12 to 7 which could direct us to this point that, the impact of articles in shaping the historical origins of the research methodology topics was more colorful than books.

Aim: This study aimed to identify barriers and strategic solutions for knowledge sharing among companies operating in the Khuzestan Science and Technology Park. Method: As an applied research, it used mixed method. The research population included all managers and deputies of the companies located in Khuzestan Science & Technology Park, of which using Cochran formula, and simple random sampling method, 144 people were selected as the research sample. In the quantitative part of the study, the data collection tools was a questionnaire which its reliability was tested by calculating of Cronbach’s Alpha that ended up with the figure 0.921. The face and content validity method was used to check the validity of the questionnaire. For the Qualitative part of the study, semi-structured interviews run based on the results of the quantitative part. Findings: The results showed that among the components of the barriers to sharing knowledge, with respect to the designated cut-off point, the technological factors were lower than the target average, while the cultural, structural and individual factors were equal to the average score. Therefore, considering the barriers and the outcomes of the interviews carried out, practical measures were suggested such as encouraging knowledge sharing behavior of companies, holding workshops, undertaking large projects and specialized distribution of the labor and jobs among the firms.

Aim: The main aim of the current study was to commit a macro study on the growth of papers and authors in the technical and engineering journals in Iran.
Method: The study was a descriptive survey with a Scientometrics approach. The research population consisted of 9296 papers published in 332 Iranian technical and engineering journals during 2001 and 2010. The data were selected from ISC and Magiran databases out of their electronic archives by nose counting method.
Findings: Data collected showed that the growth of the both paper and author counts follow two positive exponential functions so that the number of papers published in each year is 1.183 times higher than those published in the earlier year. This growth rate is 1.191 for authors. It was also shown that there was a positive linear relationship between the number of authors and papers, while no significant relationship was seen between the growth of authors and the average number of co-authorship in the studied journals.
Conclusion: The exponential growths of the papers and the authors agree with the earlier studies like Price's one. The growth in the number of authors caused increase in the number of papers but failed to increase the number of authors per paper.

Aim: The present study aimed to assess the organizational readiness for deployment of the adornment system in all the libraries affiliated to Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences. Method: The study was a descriptive survey of which the population included all librarians (n = 47) working in all mentioned libraries. Data collection tool was a questionnaire which was devised for the purpose of this study on the basis of the 5S approach. Data were analyzed by means of descriptive and inferential statistical techniques using SPSS software. Findings: The data gathered showed that among all the organizational readiness factor, the individual effectiveness variable had the highest readiness with an average of 18.18, and the lowest readiness was that of effective system with an average of 15.15. Also, among the non-systematic factors, the order and arrangement variable with the highest mean score of 18.79 showed the highest readiness, and discipline and culture had the lowest readiness with a mean score of 13.60. Conclusion: The level of organizational readiness of the libraries affiliated to Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences proved to be relatively acceptable in order to establish an organizational adornment system.
