Purpose: The purpose of this study is answering to the question whether FRBR have a semiotic structure? Can FRBR model Be evaluated on the basis of semiotics?Method: conceptual analysis. Concepts of models by two prominent theorist semiotics field, "Saussure and Pierce" has been studied and the comparative study of the concepts discussed in these models with FRBR's entities and relationships.Results: Study the principles and concepts of Saussure and Pierce in FRBR Revealed that work and expression entities can be considered as a sign. Based on the dyadic model of Saussure has two aspects, mental content as the signifier and meaning as the signified which together make. The work as a sign can influence other signs and produce a new meaning. FRBR's entities also have capabilities matching to Pierce's triad model. When person show their mental ideas, work entity is created. The work created in the face of different people creates different expression .Similarly, expression entity when presented in different formats is held as items. FRBR's entities have the same function as the signs.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate use ResearchGate network and its relationship with their social capital among the faculty members of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences. Methods: This study done using a survey method.All faculty members of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences who were a member of Reasearchgate website, formed the research community and a sample of 208 faculty member of them selected to participate in this study using a random sampling method. The research tool was a questionnaire of Parirokh and Ahmadi study, the reliability of this questionnaire recalculated and coefficient of Cronbach's alpha of it obtained 0/99. Results: The results indicate that the average use of ResearchGate website among the faculty members of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences is 1.88and average components of the partnership, trust,trustworthiness and a sense of belonging and interest items of social capital of faculty members, respectively was %3.30, %3.46, %3.03and %3.52. In total, the average of social capital level of faculty members was34.3%. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that there is a meaningful relationship between using ResearchGate and the social capital of faculty members of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences.In other words,one can say that most faculty members who are heavy users of ResearchGate website have a high a sense of belonging and interest level of social capital and using this network. About the nature of scientific research that social networks are important. Because their results can help users to better cooperation in the fields of research.

Purpose: This paper introduces the method of discourse analysis, goals, and how to use it, as one of the qualitative research methods and according to the method of discourse analysis in various fields of humanities and social sciences could be used, in article The present paper also explored the use of discourse analysis in Information Science and Knowledge.Methods: This is a reveiw paper. For data gathering, related papers and literature to discourse analysis were used.Findings: A literature review showed that linguistics has gone beyond the boundaries of discourse analysis and an interdisciplinary field of study is considered. So a meaning beyond the words that comes to mind is in linguistics.It seems that researchers focusing exclusively use the methods of discourse analysis to quantitative research methods and traditional linear distance and the attention they modern methods of study draw.Conclusion: It seems that the method of discourse analysis can show how concepts of Information Science and knowledge have been formed.

Aim. The main purpose of this research is to study the historical trend of user education in libraries and the competencies required for teacher-librarians to teach. It also aims to survey the viewpoints of academic librarians at Shahid Chamran and Jundi Shapur University of Medical Sciences in Ahvaz.Method. For the first part of the study, the literature was reviewed; For the second part of the paper, an author-designed questionnaire was used. The validity of the questionnaire was approved by 4 teaching staffs in the fields of LIS and psychology. The reliability of the questionnaire was determined by Cronbach's Alpha which was 0.91 for men, 0.79 for women, and 0.90 for the whole scale. Of 80 questionnaires distributed, 56 questionnaires were used in analyses using SPSS 19. Results. The results showed that librarians totally assessed their competency for teaching as "moderate"; the only item being "high" was "enjoying teaching others". Using Friedman rank test, it was revealed that respondents ranked the items "enjoying teaching others", " teaching competency", and "ability to transfer the concepts to others" as the first, the second, and the third in terms of importance, respectively. The 13th, the last, was "being familiar with designing exam questions".Keywords: reference librarians; user education; teacher-librarians' competencies; academic libraries

Objective: Art (especially in the field of painting) because of the very different nature has the different citation behavior compare to other fields. The main objective of this study was to identify the differences between citation and cited references in the Art , particularly in the field of painting. Method: In this study, we used mixed method. For quantitative section , survey methods, survey in literatures and quantitative content analysis is used and for the qualitative section, it was used qualitative content analys, interview and library method. The study population consisted of faculty members painting art universities in Tehran who have been published scientific production during the years 1384-1394. The resumes of the individuals and the related texts and electronic resources are another part of population. To analyze the data SPSS software is used. Findings: The most important document for citing are Persian books, English books, Persian articles and websites. Results:The results indicate that official citations in the field of art (painting) are not common but citations are hidden and concealed. Also different in terms of the type of information resources, information resources life, how to use the information sources cited and the use of hidden citations in this area is very different from other areas.Also there was a significant differences among the comments of individuals targeted, what is seen in résumé.

Background and Aim: The aim of this study is to assess the Iranian Personal paper Information Management of knowledge and information science and medical library information sciences faculty members based on the Jones model. Methodology: This is an application research and the survey method was conducted. The statistical population included faculty of knowledge and information science and medical library and information sciences in Iranian state universities. The research tool is a questionnaire based on previous studies made and its validity and reliability were confirmed. To analyze the data using statistical software spss22 descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used. Result: The overall average of Personal paper Information Management is 3.32. The highest and lowest scores were related to measuring and evaluating and security with 3.682 and 2.995. In terms of gender, affiliation and the age difference is not significant; but in terms of the degree of difference between the Associate and Assistant Professor there. Conclusion The highest average person in the age group 45-36 years the Personal paper Information Management, Associate Degree, medical librarians and women's groups. On the whole, despite a relatively favorable status, the need to improve the skills of faculty members in the face of massive amounts of paper information comes in, to spend the least cost, best information in the most appropriate time to recover.

Purpose:The present study was aimed at examining the effect of knowledge management and Relationship management with electronic customer with respect to the moderating effect of Relationship on the efficiency of the Esfahan university libraries.Methodology:The method of this study was descriptive-survey. The participants of this study consist of users (students) of Esfahan University Libraries. With using Cochran formula a sample consisting of 450 students with random sampling took part. The instrument of this study included a researcher made questionnaire that the validity and reliability of the questionaire was measured by SPSS20 software and SmartPLS2.0. The face validity is obtained by experts' evaluation and in order to determine the reliability of the scale, Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0/87) was used and the results indicated that the measurement tool has satisfactory validity and reliability. In order to analyze the data and test hypotheses, the structural equation modeling approach with the SmartPLS2.0 software was used.Findings: All indices have acceptable load factor. Knowledge management and electronic Relationship management with customers have an effect on responsibility and responsibility has effect on efficiency. Knowledge management in comparision to electronic Relationship management with customer has a more effect on responsibility. Results:results indicate the importance of knowledge management and electronic Relationship management with customers in accordance with better responsibility to users and inhancement of the library efficiency. So libraries can provide possibility of appropriate and on time responsibility of employees to users with proper knowledge management in organization through education and sharing knowledge and using new IT.

Purpose: The purpose of the present research is to survey the compatibility rate of Cataloguing in Publication (CIP) catalog cards of National Library and Archive of the Islamic Republic of Iran (NLAI) on title page versos of books with related records included in Rasa software. Methodology: research is a survey of content analysis type and a researcher-made questionnaire has been employed to gather data. Data analysis has been performed using descriptive statistics such as frequency and percentage. Results: data analysis indicated that the compatibility rate of CIP catalog cards of NLAI on title page versos of books with related records included in Rasa software is some 92%. The incompatibility rate of CIP catalog cards of NLAI on title page versos of books with related records included in Rasa software is 28.94% for physical description, 15.78% for statement of responsibility, 14.91% for notes, 10.08% for subject added entries, 7.89% for title, 7.01% for non-subject added entries, 5.7% for name of publisher, and LC and DDC classification numbers, 3.07% for main entry and series, 0.87% for place of publication, and 0.43 for edition areas. Conclusion: based on research findings concerning a 92% compatibility rate of CIPs on title page versos of books with related records in Rasa software, it can be concluded that publishers have understood the importance of CIP records, provide NLAI with correct bibliographic information, and do not change CIP information on title page versos of their books
